If you like Seabass, consider donating. While I make it available free of charge, creating it costs time and money: hardware to build and test it, services to run the project. Your support is appreciated!

Before you start

⚠

Seabass is beta software. We take care with your data, but every write to a stick carries some inherent risk.

Seabass backs up before every write it makes, but that's a safety net, not a replacement for your own backups.
Back up your stick yourself before you let anything write to it, Seabass included.
Test your stick on the hardware you'll gig with before you rely on it: CDJs, XDJs and Engine players can be picky in ways a laptop preview won't catch.
Always carry a backup stick to a gig, regardless of what software last touched the one you're using.

None of this is unusual advice for DJ software; it's just worth saying plainly for something this new.
