KDAB is a Swedish company of people around the world working on software. Our focus is on Qt development, trainings and add-on products. KDAB is also involved with work on KDE PIM. I worked for KDAB coordinating marketing activities and doing some development.

EuroQuis / E*OS3 - custodiet custodes

E*OS3 - European Open Source
Service Standard. I have been conducting research on a Quality of Services standard for Open Source-based IT projects. My part of the research being done involved the technical side of the quality metrics and the acceptance by Open Source communities. EuroQuis aims to improve the acceptance of Open Source software solutions for the small- and medium-sized enterprises. EuroQuis is financed by the Euregio, and Dutch and German local authorities.

SQO-OSS

Software Quality Observatory for
Open Source Software. Another part of my research work involved taking part in the Software Quality Observatory for Open Source Software (SQO-OSS, a.k.a. 'squash') project on behalf of KDE. SQO-OSS was a European Reseach project that aimed at measuring and improving the quality of Open Source software by developing new tools and techniques to measure it.
Other project partners include Athens University of Economics and Busines, Sirius and KDAB.

CodeYard - scholier en Open Source.

CodeYard - scholier en Open Source. CodeYard aimed to motivate secondary education students to get actively involved with Open Source software development, to create mindshare for Open Source software and to communicate the message that computer science can be fun in a unique way.
In CodeYard, students become Open Source developers and learn the modern collaboration techniques from the Open Source world. My part of the work for CodeYard is public relations, quality control and application development. I was also responsible for coffee and bread supplies.
